Presentation:  LIPAN APACHE TRIBE OF TEXAS - Mr. Juan Garcia will provide a historical presentation of the Lipan Apaches. (Note: DNA testing is consistently showing many Hispanics possess some level of Native American lineage)  More DNA testing is supposedly underway to better define origins and specifics of this evolution.

Mr. Garcia provided an excellent presentation depicting the history of the Lipan Apaches. His explanation of how the missionaries imposed marriage on bachelor Spaniards and Native Americans was an interesting explanation of past practices that are now seen in the DNA tests. Simply speaking, many Native Americans are primos.
